Kasteel Warmelo

Kasteel Warmelo in Diepenheim is an estate with four centuries of garden architecture. Each season it hosts a sand sculpture exhibition, this year 28 works by ten artists, alongside events, a terrace and holiday homes in the former orangery.

Visitors come from the Netherlands, Germany and further away, so the site has to sell a day out and an overnight stay, in three languages.

We designed the site around the estate itself: an aerial photo of the castle, the numbers that matter (675+ years of history, 7 hectares of gardens, 28 sand sculptures) and a clear route to the gardens, events, food and drink, and stays.

Visitors switch between Dutch, English and German in one tap, and the practical information on the season, parking and dogs is easy to find on a phone.
